Under capitalism, the daily lives of millions are dominated by feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Karl Marx coined the term alienation to describe this of total lack of control, and saw alienation firmly rooted within the system of capitalism. This session explores Marx’s theory of alienation, how it manifests in society almost 200 years on from Marx, and how you fight it.
