The resistance to the Vietnam War was a landmark movement in the 60s and 70s, that would come to define the time period and also make indelible marks in the minds and lives of those who participated. Hundreds of thousands of people were moved to attend protests and some even resisted the draft, prepared to risk jail. The tide of public opinion was turned against the war and against conscription, and the movement contributed to a wider radicalisation in society.
