The history of capitalism is filled with war. The logic of profit and competition that drives the capitalist system has killed and displaced millions in brutal conflicts around the world. How can we end this barbarity? The standard approach may be to look toward international bodies of 'peace' and diplomacy. However, as long as capitalism exists, with its insatiable competition, this is a dead-end strategy. This session critiques a 'diplomatic' strategy for ending wars, and argue instead that the struggle and resistance of workers, students, and the oppressed and revolt in the lowest ranks of the armed forces is needed to end wars and stop imperial powers in their tracks.
