Socialist Alternative is committed to rebuilding democratic class struggle unionism. To do so will need both industrial militancy but also left wing political ideas that encompass opposition to all the oppression and injustice that capitalism creates. This session will explore two examples from the past (the Minneapolis Teamsters in the 1930s and the NSW Builders Labourers Federation in the 1970s) and suggest some strategies for our movement to go forward.
