How can the working class take power? Can parliament be a vehicle for socialism? Isn't revolution impossible in a wealthy, democratic society like Australia? Why do many workers continue to look to the ALP after its betrayals? For more than a century the working class movement has been characterised by two different strategies to advance towards socialism: reformism and revolutionary socialism. This talk makes the case for revolution and argues that the reformist approach is a dead-end that only disarms the working class and defends the capitalist status quo.
