Racism is a scourge that has dominated Australian society from the very beginning. Where does this bigotry come from? Some suggest it is inherent to human nature to fear 'the other', while others blame the 'white working class'. Marxists reject these facile explanations, and this session will argue that racism is a product of a class divided society, and that anti-capitalist politics are needed to get rid of it once and for all.
